I’ve been a wanderer in a strange land these last nine years.
Those of you who know me understand that I left a studio practice after a series of tragedies–I launched out for a strange, new world to try my hand as a new North Dakotan and entrepreneur. I learned a lot in the process.
These last weeks, I’ve reconnected with my skills and passion for dyeing cloth. I’ve also explored intuitively metalworking with copper and brass. I am finding the creative “food” and motivation I thought I’d left behind. It is scary and exciting!
Today I will finish editing pictures of my new body of work in hand-patterned silk. I will take digital shots of the over 50 new copper and brass pieces created in the last month. Within the week, the best of these will be part of my website and posted to Facebook.
Keep creating,
Linae
