I choose to teach because I love being witness to the growth and transformation of others through creativity. Over the last 20 years, I have been privileged to be present as learners enter my classroom, open themselves to new things, and learn how marvelously talented they are. This is the way that creativity works: Everyone has it. My job is to set up the conditions under which each participant discovers this about themselves. Fun, joy, safety, materials, structure, encouragement and support are all my job–the rest occurs in the hearts, minds and hands of the student within the soft container of the learning community we create together.
